The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) created The Supplier Clearinghouse to implement guidelines designed to encourage, recruit, and utilize Women- and Minority-owned Businesses by participating utilities. Southern California Minority Business Development Council (SCMBDC) – is the largest nonprofit minority business advocacy organization in the region. Its mission is to support and develop minority business enterprises to compete and succeed in the open market.
