Harassment Prevention Training for Supervisors
Prevention is the best tool to eliminate harassment in the workplace. Employers are encouraged to take steps necessary to prevent workplace harassment from occurring. They should clearly communicate to employees that workplace harassment, specially sexual harassment, will definitely not be tolerated. They can do so by providing workplace harassment training to their employees, by establishing an effective complaint or grievance process and taking immediate and appropriate action when an employee complains.
PCS Consultants, Inc. offers Workplace Harassment Prevention Training either in English or Spanish. Our training programs meet California Law (AB 1825). The trainings are conducted by professionals with extensive knowledge on preventing harassment, retaliation, and discrimination. Topics covered are the following:
- What constitutes as harassment
- Preventing harassment claims
- Understanding state and federal provisions regarding AB1825
- Understanding common patterns of harassment
- What to do during an investigation
*Note: California law (AB No. 1825) requires all employers with 50 or more employees who do business in California must provide at least two hours of classroom or other effective interactive training and education regarding sexual harassment to all supervisory employees and to all new supervisory employees within six months of their assumption of a supervisory position. If an employer fails to provide the required training, they may be ordered to comply.
